Toxicologist Mikhail Kutushov spoke about the dangers of thick blood and what foods to avoid.

Thrombosis in some cases is deadly. Blood thinning medications help prevent new blood clots from forming, but in some cases you can do without them if you follow simple rules.

Thrombosis is a violation of blood flow in the vessel due to partial or complete closure of its lumen by a blood clot. There are a number of measures that will help prevent the problem.

– Thick blood moves through the vessels much worse, an additional load on the heart is created, and the risk of blood clots in the blood vessels increases. Thick blood can cause varicose veins, thrombophlebitis, angina pectoris, heart attack and other diseases, — the doctor wrote in his telegram channel.

How to thin the blood:
< br>Drink clean water. This, according to the doctor, “the first and main solvent in the body.” With a lack of water, blood volume is dangerously reduced. Katushov recommends drinking “at least 30 ml of water per 1 kg of weight.” Drink should be in small sips.

Remove sweets. When eating food containing sugar, the level of glucose in the blood rises, the production of lipid compounds increases. This increases the viscosity of the blood and increases the risk of thrombosis.

Reference. An increased level of lipids leads to the development of atherosclerosis, atherosclerotic plaques form on the walls of blood vessels, which can be so large that they almost completely block the lumen of the vessel. Atherosclerosis significantly increases the risk of heart attacks and strokes.

It is necessary to ensure that the diet is balanced: we are talking about proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals.

With a lack of proteins and amino acids, the blood becomes thicker, so meat must be in the diet (choose low-fat varieties). Suitable sea fish, eggs, “milk”.

Eat foods that contain anticoagulants. We are talking about ginger, onion, garlic, sunflower and pumpkin seeds, aloe juice, beets, any berries, citrus fruits, pomegranate.

Professor Kutushov recommended products that save from thick blood

“The most valuable of all amino acids is taurine, so it is important to eat those foods where taurine is contained in a larger amount (seafood) or vitamin complexes with taurine,” the specialist emphasized.
