The incidence of coronavirus jumped by 20%

The incidence of coronavirus has jumped by 20%
The number of cases of coronavirus in the world has increased by 20% over the past week. This is evidenced by the statistics of the World Health Organization, which is carefully taken into account in TASS.

For the first time in 10 consecutive weeks, the incidence of coronavirus in the world has increased, and immediately by 700,000 people per week, or 20%. Over the past 7 days, 3.2 million infected have been registered on the planet. In some regions, growth has become stable. For example, for about a month now, the number of infected people in Europe has been growing.

Morbidity and mortality in the UK have crept up again

In Germany, there is another outbreak of the disease, here 120,000 people are infected per day, and these are the maximum marks since June of this year, which are the highest in all of Europe and even in the world at the moment. And a month ago, the daily incidence in Germany was only 40,000. The incidence rate in France increased by 15% and reached 60,000 people a day, the last time this was only in July. Finally, in Italy, the incidence has grown to 40,000 people, only in Spain the situation remains stable – no more than 4,000.

The incidence of coronavirus in the UK continues to grow

In the Asian region, by contrast, there is a long-awaited decline. Less than 20,000 infected per day in South Korea, about 30,000 in Japan. In the United States, the incidence has reached the lows noted in March of this year, and in our country it has decreased by almost 40%. At the same time, Russia ranks second in the ranking of countries with the highest mortality rate. More than 700 people died in our country during the week from 3 to 9 October. In first place is the United States with 1,800 deaths, and in third is Japan with just over 500 people. (READ MORE) World Health Organization
