While the mask regime is being abandoned in a significant part of Russia, the situation is different in the Oryol region. Local authorities have decided to extend the mask regime until June 30.

In the Oryol region, a meeting of the local headquarters for the fight against coronavirus was held, at which an increase in the number of cases of COVID-19 was noted. In this regard, it was decided to extend the mask regime until June 30, as well as other existing anti-COVID restrictions in the region. For a week in the Oryol region, 327 cases of coronavirus, and this is 23% higher than a week earlier. It is reported that the increase in this indicator is observed among all ages.

Anti-currency restrictions will also be maintained when organizing cultural and entertainment events with a large number of spectators. At the same time, the Oryol region maintains a reserve of beds in specialized hospitals for the treatment of covid, and in this regard, the region is not the worst in the Russian Federation, but it is not among the most successful in the fight against coronavirus.

Over the past day in the Oryol region, 28 hospitalizations and 48 recovered. The number of identified infections was 47, one person died. In total, over the entire period of the pandemic, about 113,000 people fell ill in the Oryol region, and 1,921 people died.
