Study: Eating one egg a day can prevent dementia

егатки
To prevent dementia, you need to eat one egg a day. This is the conclusion reached by scientists from China and the UK.

The study involved 233 people with dementia and the same number without, who were randomly recruited. Doctors studied their diet for two years and other risk factors for chronic diseases.

It turned out that participants with dementia ate eggs daily almost twice as often as the control group (28.3% versus 41.6%)

This may indicate a link between moderate egg consumption and a reduced risk of developing dementia. If there are no contraindications, scientists recommend eating one chicken egg per day.

Endocrinologist Zukhra Pavlova does not recommend eating eggs daily.

— Firstly, they are very high in calories, and excessive consumption can lead to weight gain and the formation of plaque in the vessels. Secondly, a varied diet is necessary for good health. No matter how healthy the food is, everything should be in moderation, she believes.

Note that the calorie content of a medium-sized raw egg is 70 kcal, and the largest – 90. Since the energy value changes during the cooking process, the finished product will contain from 125 kcal to 195 kcal.
