A 15-year-old girl who had severe itching all over her body was treated for allergies. Upon further examination, it was discovered that she had cancer.
In June 2024, 15-year-old Niamh began to experience severe itching, which doctors mistook for an allergy, the Bristol Post reports. Doctors advised the girl to keep a food and beauty product diary to identify the cause of the irritation.
The itching became so unbearable that Niamh could not sleep. Soon she discovered a lump on her neck.
It turned out that the girl had cancer: she was diagnosed with stage 2 Hodgkin's lymphoma. Niamh is continuing treatment.
