Oncologist's advice: why you need to urgently remove a cyst with a parietal component

doctor
Oncologist-mammologist Danail Nazliev advises his patients to be proactive and urgently remove a cyst with a parietal component. This must be done in order to reduce the risk of its degeneration into cancer.

– A cyst with a parietal component is a formation located in the mammary gland, which must be urgently removed. This type of formation may contain liquid or solid tissue, or a combination of both. It is important to identify the source of education and determine whether it is benign or malignant, — said the physician in his telegram channel.
The parietal component is an anomaly. It may be a real tumor or a collection of cells that are abnormal to some extent. It is usually surrounded by a tissue capsule and may contain liquid, solid tissue, or both.

– If a cyst with a parietal component is found, it must be removed as soon as possible. This is due to the fact that there is an increased risk of malignant degeneration of this formation. Although most of these formations are benign, they should still be removed as soon as possible to reduce the likelihood of malignant transformation, – stressed the doctor.
He also reminded that it is important to undergo regular mammography and other examinations prescribed by a doctor.

A cyst is usually removed if its size exceeds 10 centimeters, and also in case of suspicion of the possibility of malignant degeneration.

Cystic formations can be in any organ. Most often in women, cysts of the ovary, cervix, Bartholin, and mammary glands are formed. In men, a coccygeal cyst occurs, in patients of both sexes – a cyst of the thyroid gland, brain, paranasal sinuses, larynx.
