In Russia will begin to vaccinate children against coronavirus

In Russia children will be vaccinated against coronavirus
Children aged 6 to 11 will be able to receive vaccinations against coronavirus from June 9. True, only as part of clinical trials.

The head of the Gamaleya Center Alexander Gintsburg announced the start of the next phase of clinical trials of vaccines against coronavirus infection intended for children aged 6 to 11 years. These children will go to hospitals together with their parents, hospitalization is scheduled for June 6 and 7. Children will be vaccinated on June 9 and 10, respectively.

On January 24, the leadership of the Russian Ministry of Health approved clinical trials of vaccines against coronavirus infection developed at the Gamaleya Center specifically for young children. Gintsburg stressed that the observation period could be up to three and a half months, which means that the vaccine could theoretically be approved as early as this year. It is not yet very clear whether vaccination will be voluntary or voluntary-compulsory, as is the case with some other vaccinations, in the absence of which the child is not allowed to study at school.

So far, experts around the world have not come to a consensus on whether children should be vaccinated against coronavirus. Vaccines have a risk of side effects, especially Western vaccines, which in some cases is higher than the risk of developing a severe coronavirus infection, since children almost never get it.
