Specialists of the Russian Ministry of Health proposed to abandon universal vaccination against coronavirus. This is due to the formation of collective immunity, it is now at a high level.
The draft amendments to the order appeared on the portal of draft regulatory legal acts. It says that in the current conditions it is advisable “to move from mass vaccination to vaccination of vulnerable categories of citizens”
It is noted that a high level of herd immunity has formed in the country, and the epidemic situation with COVID-19 has been stabilized.
Who belongs to the vulnerable category of citizens:
- persons over 18 years of age who have not previously had covid or have not been vaccinated;
- persons over 60;
- citizens with chronic diseases.
Which diseases are meant:
- bronchopulmonary system,
- tuberculosis,
- cardiovascular,
- diabetes mellitus,
- obesity,
- primary or secondary immunodeficiencies,
- autoimmune,
- oncological/oncohematological.
The economic damage from coronavirus in Russia in 2022 amounted to at least 1.6 trillion rubles, according to the report of Rospotrebnadzor. In total, more than 12.1 million new cases of the disease were detected in the country last year, with an increase in incidence of 34.2%.
The most common symptoms of coronavirus:
- high fever
- dry cough
- shortness of breath
- severe fatigue
- muscle pain
- sore throat
- headache
- loss or disturbance of taste and/or smell.
