Fish, radish, zucchini: doctor Baranova named five foods that improve kidney function

back
Therapist, dermatologist Irina Baranova compiled the top 5 products that improve kidney function.

In first place she put sea fish, rich in omegas -3. Among other things, it helps reduce blood pressure, facilitating the functioning of the kidneys, and also improves the condition of the cardiovascular system, which has a beneficial effect on the blood supply to the kidneys. In addition, omega-3 helps reduce protein levels in the urine and reduces inflammation in the kidneys.

Cranberry comes in second place. It contains proanthocyanidins, which prevent bacteria from attaching to the walls of the urinary tract. Cranberry is good for cystitis and has a diuretic effect.

Radish took third place from the top 5. It consists of 90% water and has a diuretic effect.  Radish contains isothiocyanates, which have antibacterial properties, cleanses the blood and facilitates the functioning of the kidneys.

Next comes zucchini. Baranova called them “a godsend for the kidneys.” They improve the elimination of toxins and contain fiber, which helps reduce sugar and cholesterol. Zucchini is 95% water.

In fifth place is green tea.

“Catechins and other polyphenols in green tea have anti-inflammatory properties that can reduce inflammation in the kidneys and improve their overall health,” the doctor noted.
