One in two teenagers use the Internet continuously
A new study shows that almost half of American teenagers use the World Wide Web almost 24 hours a day. It was conducted by experts from the American research center Pew Research Center.

Experts from the USA found that if in 2015 24% of teenagers were on the Internet almost all the time, now their proportion has reached 46%. These are the results of a sociological survey of 1,316 adolescents aged 13 to 17, which was conducted from April 14 to May 4. It showed that 95% of teenagers from the USA have smartphones.

The authors of the survey were interested in how teenagers behave in social networks. It turned out that the popularity of Facebook in this age group has dropped to a record low. If in 2015 this social network attracted 71% of teenagers, but now only 32%. The study showed the validity of the assertion that Facebook is now a “social network for old people”, and even earlier this fate befell the oldest Russian social network.

Almost half of the world's inhabitants use the Internet

Teens leave Facebook to sit on TikTok or YouTube. 95% use YouTube, 67% use Chinese TikTok. 62% of teenagers are constantly on Instagram, which is also owned by Facebook. 59% said they use Snapchat, while Twitter's popularity is less than 25%. (READ MORE) Pew Research Center
