Chak-chak is a healthy delicacy because it contains natural honey. This was explained by gastroenterologist Lyudmila Sukhorukova.
— The benefits of chak-chak are due to the presence of natural honey, which acts as an antifungal, antibacterial and antiviral agent. It is bee honey, due to its powerful natural properties, that is often used to treat gastrointestinal diseases, colds, and even cuts and burns, the NEWS.ru physician noted.
In moderate quantities, chak-chak is not addictive and serves as a source of energy, Sukhorukova said. It is intended as a dessert for special occasions, it is not the kind of food that can be consumed every day. Previously, it was prepared for weddings.
Note that the caloric content of chak-chak can reach 500 kcal per 100 grams of product. In case of obesity, high blood sugar levels, it is better to choose another dessert.
Earlier it was reported that 130 kilograms of chak-chak were prepared in Kazan for the participants of the BRICS summit.
Doctor and TV presenter Elena Malysheva previously drew attention to the high sugar content in chak-chak.
— Chak-chak is a sweet product. If sugar in the body is not spent on energy processes, then it turns into fat (one molecule of sugar (glucose) turns into two molecules of fat) – and a person gains extra pounds, the risk of developing diabetes increases, she noted.
