Nutritionist, candidate of medical sciences Elena Salamatina spoke about the benefits of sauerkraut. The doctor called it a “superfood”.
— We have superfoods in our regular diet that are simply worth eating. For example, in the fall – sauerkraut, which contains a lot of vitamin C and nutrients, essential dietary fiber, the fermentation process does not end there, — the specialist emphasized.
She warned that prescribing vitamins to yourself is dangerous. Vitamin complexes and supplements may contain substances that are excessive for a particular organism.
So, if you take vitamin C without need, you can “earn” kidney problems (stone formation) and increase the level of uric acid. Salamatina recommends taking “natural”.
