Doctor Gandelman: Dry seaweed, goose liver and oil help men with baldness

head
Doctors have named three superfoods against baldness for men. This was discussed on the air of the program “Live Healthy!” on Channel One.

Cardiologist German Gandelman, immunologist Andrei Prodeus and ophthalmologist Mikhail Konovalov believe that spirulina, goose liver and vegetable oil help in the fight against hair loss.

100 grams of dry spirulina algae contain 3.5 daily norms of magnesium, deficiency of which can lead to baldness, noted Gandelman.

— It turned out that magnesium is involved in hair growth, so its sufficient amount ensures complete restoration of hair, — he said.

Prodeus advised eating goose liver, which is a record holder for iron content. Doctors always recommend that people who have hair loss check their iron levels.

The third piece of advice is to eat sunflower oil, which is rich in vitamin E.

— Vitamin E improves the blood supply to the follicle from which the hair grows, — Konovalov noted.

Causes of baldness in men:

1. Heredity plays a key role. If close relatives have had problems with hair, the likelihood of baldness increases.

2. Androgens, such as testosterone and its derivatives, can affect the hair follicles, leading to their reduction and hair loss.

3. As we age, hair becomes thinner and falls out, which also contributes to baldness.

4. Physical or emotional stress can cause temporary hair loss, known as the telogen effluvium.

5. Certain medical conditions, such as thyroid dysfunction, anemia, or autoimmune diseases, cause hair loss.

6. Deficiencies of vitamins and minerals, such as iron, zinc, and B vitamins, can negatively affect hair health.

7. Certain medications, including antidepressants, cancer drugs, and steroids, cause hair loss as a side effect.
