Demand for medicines for coronavirus increased in August
Russians began to buy medicines for coronavirus more actively in August than in July. Information from the Center for Advanced Technologies shows that demand has increased by 59%.

In July, Russian citizens spent 41% less on the purchase of medicines for coronavirus than in August. So, in August, the citizens of our country spent 4.5 billion rubles on the purchase of 11.6 million medicines. At the same time, in July, the Russians purchased only 7.3 million packages. Demand jumped especially strongly in the last week of July, as statistics show, it grew by 17%.

In the first 7 days of August, this indicator increased by another 20%, after which stabilization came. Every week, Russians spent about a billion rubles on the purchase of funds from the coronavirus. Note that the treatment of covid in Russia is free of charge, this also applies to the issuance of medicines. So that their purchase at their own expense is a personal initiative of the Russians.

But the August demand for COVID-19 drugs was not the highest for the entire period of their sales. For example, in winter, Russians spent 3.5 billion rubles a week on coronavirus funds. True, in August some drugs fell in price, and this may also explain why there was a change in costs.

Experts stressed that there is no shortage of funds from the coronavirus in Russia now. Their active release continues at most pharmaceutical enterprises.
