Men who are keen on cycling should get up from their seats and pedal from time to time, researchers at the Medical University of Wroclaw in Poland have found. This is due to the need to avoid prolonged pressure on the genitals.

Bicycling is one of the most popular and very useful exercise tools, it has many benefits, one of the most obvious of which is strengthening the cardiovascular system and training leg muscles. However, men who do intense cycling should be aware that the bike seat puts a lot of pressure on the prostate area. And this can provoke a violation of the outflow of urine, erectile dysfunction and even benign prostatic hyperplasia, that is, an increase in this organ with all the ensuing consequences.

Three minutes of exercise – and the end of diabetes

In order to prevent disturbances in the functioning of the prostate gland, men need to get on the pedals from time to time while riding a bicycle. It is advisable to do this every 10 minutes for 10-15 seconds. In this way, erection problems can be avoided, as Polish scientists advise. There is a link between genital numbness from cycling and erectile dysfunction.

Pedal to increase potency

After a meta-analysis of 22 studies, the authors of the current observation described the best way out. For example, special bicycle seats that do not have a narrow nose in the genital area. Such a seat is wider and softer – without an obvious narrowing. Thus, pressure can be redirected from this area to the buttocks. It is also extremely important to get up on the pedals regularly.
