Nutritionist Lazurenko explained in an interview who can be harmed by corn. According to the doctor, boiled corn on the cob contains a high concentration of coarse fiber – only a healthy digestive system can handle such a product (although even in this case, bloating and gases are possible). If there are problems with the gastrointestinal tract, disturbances in the functioning of the pancreas, then after eating corn, a person is likely to become ill.

“There may be pain in the upper abdomen due to active flatulence, rumbling, swelling, bursting even with a feeling of belching and nausea, ”Lazurenko told Moscow 24.
As for canned corn, the nutritionist clarified: this product should not be included in the diet if a person has carbohydrate metabolism disorders, obesity, diabetes mellitus. In this form, the product promotes an increase in blood sugar and insulin levels.
