Dietitian and nutritionist Tatyana Meshcheryakova: many people, eating a large amount of food and calories, at the same time are undernourished, not getting important trace elements.

A nutritionist spoke in an interview about the existence of a nutritional paradox:

“Overeating, many people are actually undernourished: they have a deficiency of nutrients in the diet.”
According to Meshcheryakova, this phenomenon is due to the fact that modern people eat a lot of processed and prepared foods, often they make up the majority of the daily diet. As a result, eating a lot of such food, people overeat in terms of calories and at the same time undereat, not getting nutrients from it in the form of minerals, vitamins, amino acids. The main source of such substances are natural, unprocessed foods – vegetables, fruits, herbs, cereals, meat.

Meshcheryakova noted that one of the signs of such overeating with “empty” calories is excess weight. The specialist stressed that the cells of the human body need a constant supply of micronutrients, vitamins, useful fatty acids. Their deficiency is fraught with the development of disorders of fat metabolism and the emergence of such dangerous conditions as insulin resistance, high blood sugar, diabetes, excessive fat deposition.

Nutritionist: mint is useful for losing weight and maintaining weight when a person eats a lot, but the cells of his body are still malnourished, because they do not receive the components they need, there may be a noticeable decrease in physical activity, a decline in energy tone, and mental retardation. The doctor's arguments were published by Life.
