Nutritionist Irina Mansurova named the health-improving effects that arise from regular consumption of fermented milk products.

Nutritionist Mansurova informed in an interview that the presence of various fermented milk products in people's diets products in the form of sour cream, kefir, fermented baked milk, yoghurt, kaymak and others have a positive effect on the state of the gastrointestinal tract – this is one of their important advantages.

“The intestines control our nutrition and mood, and against the background of dysbiosis, anxiety can increase and even neurosis develops. Studies show that changing the composition of the intestinal microbiota in favor of a healthier one helps improve not only the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract, but also relieves symptoms of neurological and mental disorders,” the specialist told AiF.
She added that the benefits of fermented milk products for the gastrointestinal tract are determined by their saturation with probiotics – bacteria that suppress the growth of pathogenic intestinal flora, improve the processes of breakdown of food and the absorption of vitamins and microelements from it in the gastrointestinal tract. At the same time, “sour milk” has a positive, healing effect on other body systems: for example, the endocrine or cardiovascular. The expert explained that people with chronic heart problems can reduce the risk of their worsening by consuming fermented milk products on a regular basis. In particular, this can lower blood pressure and prevent the accumulation of cholesterol and the formation of plaques in blood vessels.

In addition, nutritionist Mansurova noted, regularly drinking kefir and fermented baked milk helps prevent diabetes.

“Systematic consumption of fermented baked milk and kefir helps reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes. Drinks increase the sensitivity of insulin receptors in muscle and fat tissue cells and help lower blood sugar levels,” the nutritionist listed.
At the same time, Mansurova drew attention to the fact that fermented milk products should be consumed only in moderation and provided there is no allergy to it. In addition, “fermented milk” should not be eaten at night.

Earlier, the MedikForum.ru portal wrote that nutritionist Mikhail Ginzburg explained in what quantity fermented milk products should be consumed.
