Nutritionist Makisha: sour cream is good for the intestines as a probiotic

Nutritionist Marina Makisha advised including not too fatty sour cream in the diet in the absence of contraindications.

Nutritionist Makisha stated that sour cream is good for the intestines as a probiotic. In other words, it refers to products that contain bacteria that improve the condition of the intestinal microbiota.

“As studies show, fermented milk products are good. First of all, because they are probiotics, that is, they contain those bacteria that help maintain the normal balance of intestinal microflora,” the specialist said in a commentary to FederalPress.
The nutritionist noted that other advantages of sour cream include the presence of protein, which is well absorbed by the body and provides it with amino acids important for the immune system, as well as milk fat. According to Marina Makisha, moderate consumption of milk fat is useful for normalizing hormonal balance, proper functioning of the intestinal tract and the functions of the cardiovascular system.

In addition, sour cream is a source of calcium – a microelement responsible for strong teeth and bones, developed muscles and healthy heart activity.

The nutritionist recommended eating sour cream with a fat content of no more than 15%.

Earlier, the MedikForum.ru portal wrote about why it is dangerous to get carried away with protein diets for weight loss.
