Nutritionist Makisha spoke in an interview about the benefits of pork for the body.

“The notion that pork is a fatter and heavier product than beef or lamb is not correct,” the expert told Moscow 24.
According to the doctor, when eating pork, you need to clean it of fat – in such a low-fat version, it will be well absorbed by the digestive system. Pork tenderloin, which has practically no fat, can be considered a dietary product, said Makisha.

“Pork tenderloin has a calorie content of 150 kilocalories per 100 grams. Almost the same as a chicken breast, maybe a little more,” said the expert.
The physician drew attention to the fact that pork is useful for the body as a source of vitamins. In particular, it contains B vitamins, which are necessary for the functioning of the nervous system and good mental health.

“Pork contains vitamin PP, which stabilizes our psyche, increases concentration, improves memory,” the doctor added.
Pork is also a source of vitamin A, which supports the functioning of the immune system, increasing the body's resistance to viruses and bacteria in the external environment. In addition, there is a lot of zinc in pork meat, with a lack of which a person becomes susceptible to various infectious diseases. The nutritionist explained that 100 grams of pork provide up to 20 percent of the daily requirement of this important trace element.
