Nutritionist Natalia Pavlyuk: in some cases, eating cheese is harmful to the body.

Cheese is one of the most favorite foods among Russians, but our fellow citizens often abuse it, nutritionist Pavlyuk said in an interview with Radio 1. The doctor warned that its consumption in large quantities is associated with the risk of harming the body (in particular, harming the cardiovascular system).

“Cheese comes in different varieties, it differs in calorie content and amount of salt. And it is harmful because it contains a lot of saturated fats and cholesterol, which are harmful to our health when consumed in excess,” the nutritionist warned.
Pavlyuk emphasized that the normal amount of cheese eaten per day is a portion of no more than 30 grams, low-fat cheese – no more than 50 grams.

Who is better off giving up cheese altogether. The doctor explained that many people today are allergic to cow's milk protein – they cannot eat cheese.

“A person can live and not know that he is allergic to cow's milk protein. For such people, a piece of cheese will provoke heartburn, upset stomach or even long-term damage,” Pavlyuk said.
