According to the candidate of medical sciences Alexander Korolev, a healthy lifestyle helps to significantly minimize the risk of developing cancer.

Oncologist Korolev stated:

“The occurrence of any chronic disease, including cancer, occurs due to an unhealthy lifestyle.”
At the same time, the doctor reported on the ability of a healthy lifestyle to reduce the risk of cancer by 40 percent – to do this, you should give up smoking and drinking alcohol, as well as exercise a lot, lose excess weight and maintain a healthy body weight, and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun.

The oncologist drew attention to the fact that cancer prevention often requires dietary adjustments. Korolev added that scientists have recently increasingly associated people's susceptibility to colon cancer with the consumption of processed meat, including sausages, cold cuts, smoked meats and fast food. The consumption of these products should be strictly minimal, and the amount of fresh vegetables and fruits in the diet should be increased.

Another Russian oncologist, Dmitry Olkin, stated in turn that with a healthy lifestyle, the immune system notices cellular damage in time and destroys individual malignant cells, preventing them from triggering tumor development. The doctors' arguments were published by KP.RU.

Earlier, the MedikForum.ru portal wrote that people who eat garlic suffer less from liver cancer, as reported by rehabilitation doctor Sergei Agapkin.
