About that a high-fat, carbohydrate-restricted diet has been named among methods for lowering sugar levels, MedicalXpress reported, citing nutrition researcher Laura Saslow (University of Michigan School of Nursing). Saslow spoke in an interview about nutritional formats to combat hyperglycemia in diabetics.

“A high-fat, low-carbohydrate diet (keto diet) and low-calorie liquid nutrition can significantly help reduce and stabilize blood glucose levels in people with type 1 diabetes,” the specialist stated.
How to eat on keto dietThis type of nutrition involves limiting carbohydrate intake to 20-35 grams per day. At the same time, the share of high-quality fats in the daily diet increases.

What products form the basis of the menu:
