Doctor Solomatina told Moscow 24 about the calming effect of bananas. According to the doctor, this fruit contains substances that have a positive effect on the nervous system.

“Banana contains a lot of B vitamins and magnesium. Therefore, it calms, improves concentration and improves mood,” the specialist explained.
Solomatina added that bananas also help with insomnia. Partly due to the above-mentioned nutrients, partly due to the fact that when they are consumed in the evening, the body activates the production of the sleep hormone melatonin. The doctor said that if a person eats a banana in the evening, he will fall asleep faster.

The nutritionist drew attention to the fact that eating bananas has a positive effect on the cardiovascular system – this is facilitated by their saturation with potassium. This microelement is an antagonist of sodium, which retains fluid in tissues. Potassium helps remove it from the body, as a result of which swelling is eliminated and pressure in the blood vessels decreases.
