Give up salt to live longer

Give up salt to live longer
Diet affects all of our health, and therefore life expectancy. The right choice of food strengthens the body, as confirmed by a new study.

A meta-analysis of 21 scientific papers showed that a small change in diet is the key to managing health. Reducing salt intake can slow down the development of a number of diseases and prolong life. The selection of suitable salt substitutes is therefore a critical step. The results of the study showed that when the content of sodium chloride in salt substitutes was reduced by 10%, there was a drop in systolic and diastolic blood pressure. Salt substitutes also provided protection against cardiovascular disease and increased life expectancy in people of all ages.

Who to give birth to live longer?

Researchers emphasize the importance of reducing dietary sodium in order to prevent pressure spikes. Salt substitutes can be an excellent solution, since a person does not want to completely give up salt – food will no longer bring him at least some joy, and this will provoke a persistent deterioration in mood and even depression. But try using potassium chloride instead of sodium chloride and you will see that the food does not lose much in taste.
