Gladyshev explained: blue has a calming effect, which is effective in reducing the feeling of hunger and appetite. If a square plate is used, people put less food in it compared to a round one.

The specialist added that in order to reduce the amount of food consumed per day and lose weight, you should use small plates and cutlery.

The doctor named giving up white foods as another effective way to eat less.

“It is important to remove all white products from the table – white sugar, white flour, white rice, white bread, salt. These products contain components (for example, simple carbohydrates), increase appetite,” he shared.
Gladyshev drew attention to the fact that the tendency to overeat is often associated with psychoemotional instability. In order to eat less, it is important to have strong nerves and peace of mind – this significantly improves control over eating habits.

“You need to increase your stress resistance, be able to find something positive even in small things and find a hobby that could distract you from food,” the doctor concluded.
