Urologist and surgeon Mark Gadziyan warned that an addiction to such treats as milk chocolate can contribute to kidney stones.

Doctor Gadziyan said that milk chocolate manufacturers often add melamine to their powdered milk. According to the doctor, many studies have shown that fragments of melamine can be found in stones extracted from the kidneys. The specialist noted that the constant use of this dietary supplement can provoke the development of serious kidney problems. He spoke about this in his Telegram channel.

A nutritionist called a harmless amount of chocolate in the daily diet

“In itself, the use of chocolate increases the level of fats in the blood and increases the level of calcium and oxalates in the urine. An excess of the latter provokes the development of urolithiasis,” said urologist Mark Gadziyan.
The doctor added that milk chocolate also significantly damages tooth enamel and increases the risk of caries. Another disadvantage associated with the use of chocolate: this delicacy can cause headaches, sleep problems. It contains caffeine, which is a migraine stimulant and trigger, as well as phenylethylamine, which can cause vasoconstriction and, as a result, a headache.
