Nutritionist Marina Makisha spoke about an unexpectedly useful property of buckwheat – this product helps resist aging.

Doctor Makisha said that buckwheat is useful for prolonging the youth of the skin. During the filming of the program “About the most important thing”, the doctor said that this effect is provided by the large number of antioxidants contained in this cereal.

“Buckwheat is a source of protein and useful microelements, in addition, it contains a lot of different antioxidants. Thanks to this, buckwheat helps to maintain the beauty, youth and health of the skin,” the doctor stated.
Makisha added that due to its composition, buckwheat has an extremely positive effect on the condition of blood vessels (this also makes it a “superfood” for prolonging the youth of the skin). The doctor advised eating buckwheat to support the work of the heart, noting in passing that the protein-rich product helps, among other things, to control blood sugar levels. In addition, buckwheat has the property of alkalizing the body, improving bowel function, eliminating toxins, swelling and strengthening the immune system.

What else makes buckwheat a product for prolonging youth? Studies have shown that when consuming buckwheat, the body increases the production of the protein SIRT1, and this has a specific effect on the aging process. With an increase in the level of this protein, the aging of the body slows down and at the same time a person's well-being improves – he feels more energetic, moves more.

Earlier, the MedikForum.ru portal wrote that the famous Russian nutritionist Mikhail Ginzburg recommended buckwheat as a product that protects the body from accelerated aging.
