Doctor Lavrova said that melon is especially useful for women, and they should definitely include melon in their diet if there are no contraindications. The doctor stated that this type of melon is rich in vitamins, which are especially important for maintaining the functioning of the female body. Melon contains a lot of vitamin C, beta-carotene and vitamin A, contains B vitamins, as well as vitamins E and K; RR. Many of them have a reputation as substances that prolong women’s youth.

“The mineral composition is not inferior to the vitamin composition and shows the content of all the main microelements with the exception of bromine and molybdenum. At the same time, there is a high concentration of silicon,” Lavrova specified in a commentary for RIA Novosti.
The doctor drew attention to the fact that melon provides women with iron, magnesium, zinc, selenium, calcium – substances that have a positive effect on the state of the vascular, nervous and immune systems, strengthen heart health, improve the condition of skin, nails and hair, joints and muscles. Melon, which has these components, can be especially useful for women upon the onset of menopause.

Ekaterina Lavrova added that people with carbohydrate and metabolic disorders should eat melon with caution. If you have diabetes, its fruits may be contraindicated.
