Endocrinologist Ekaterina Kazachkova commented on the benefits of drinking different teas during the current cold season.

Doctor Kazachkova told Gazeta.Ru how useful it is to drink tea with ginger and mint in the fall. The doctor noted that ginger root has anti-inflammatory properties, helps to warm up in the chilly fall season, and is also useful for sore throats.

“By adding a slice of lemon to tea with ginger, you can get a strong cocktail of vitamin C,” the specialist said.
The doctor considers mint to be another useful natural additive to tea. Thanks to its effect, breath becomes fresher, the psychological state becomes calmer; in addition, mint is recommended for digestive problems.

Kazachkova named sea buckthorn tea one of the best autumn drinks.

“Sea buckthorn is a storehouse of vitamins and antioxidants. Tea with it strengthens the immune system and helps the body fight viruses,” the specialist shared.
In addition, during the cold season, the doctor advised including drinks with cranberries – a berry with powerful antibacterial properties. The expert noted that cranberry juice is a good remedy for reducing fever.

Another additive to tea – cinnamon – not only makes it pleasantly aromatic. The doctor recommended using it for a warming effect, as well as to improve the regulation of blood sugar levels.

“By combining these ingredients, you can create your own unique tea blends. For example, try combining ginger, lemon and honey – this is a classic combination that will help at the first signs of a cold. And sea buckthorn tea with cinnamon and orange zest helps strengthen the immune system,” the endocrinologist suggested.
