Khachirova called the Atkins, keto and paleo diets dangerous – this type of diet, among other things, puts an excessive load on the intestines. Pregnant women should definitely not adhere to these diets, the doctor emphasized.

The expert added that a diet oversaturated with protein and fat overloads the liver and kidneys, increases the risk of kidney stones and gallstones. In addition, with such types of nutrition, blood vessels become susceptible to atherosclerosis.

Khachirova also advised against sticking to a raw food diet. The cardiologist said that this type of diet is completely unbalanced, and its most dangerous consequence can be death.
