Cardiologist Olga Bokeria: healthy people who do not suffer from chronic diseases have similar habits.
Cardiologist Bokeria spoke about what distinguishes people who can be classified as the healthiest. Naming the habits of such people, the doctor noted: one of them is regular breakfast.
“To be considered a super healthy person, it is also important to have breakfast every morning – this is a proven way to maintain a high quality of life. As statistics show, people who have breakfast live longer and get sick less often,” the doctor of medical sciences said.
In addition to breakfast every morning, the habits of the healthiest people include meal planning, which is also confirmed by statistical observation.
“People who plan their meals stay healthier longer than people who don’t,” said Olga Bokeria.
The doctor drew attention to the fact that people who follow this habit choose their products more carefully and often give preference to healthy food. During thoughtful breakfasts, lunches and dinners, the human body is provided with more useful nutrients – protein, vitamins and minerals, the expert emphasized. In addition, planning your diet in advance becomes a kind of prevention of snacking on unhealthy foods during the day, which, in turn, protects against the development of obesity, insulin resistance, diabetes.
Another habit of the healthiest people, according to Olga Bokeria, is to avoid frequent use of gadgets. The doctor explained that this reduces the amount of screen time, which has a negative impact on the eyes, brain and nervous system of a person. In general, people who can “disconnect” from their gadgets and do not experience dependence on them are better protected from stress, which has a destructive effect on many aspects of health, the cardiologist noted.
Earlier, the MedikForum.ru portal wrote that a proper diet helps older people maintain a healthy nervous system.
