Nutritionist Evgeniya Fisunova: some foods are absolutely not suitable for the first meal.

The desire to have some “goodies” for breakfast threatens people's health with dangerous consequences. The wrong choice of foods for breakfast can be a factor in gaining excess weight, problems with the gastrointestinal tract, insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes, warned nutritionist Fisunova.

First of all, the expert advised not to eat foods with a lot of added sugar for breakfast – for example, sweet yoghurts or muesli, desserts and porridge from crushed cereals. Fisunova considers ready-made baked goods from the store to be one of the most undesirable products for the first meal.

“Avoid ready-made baked goods from supermarkets. It is better to make a cake, pie or muffin yourself – this way you will be sure of the composition of the product,” she advised in an interview with the online publication “Moscow Region Today”.
According to the nutritionist, people who cannot live without sweets should look for less harmful options, eat sweets of natural origin and in no case on an empty stomach, as this provokes sharp fluctuations in blood glucose levels. It is better to avoid sweet juices altogether.

In addition, it is better not to eat sour foods for breakfast.
