Anemia: Some fruits increase hemoglobin production

“Anemia is caused by a lack of iron, and its absorption is enhanced by ascorbic acid, the well-known vitamin C. Adding to the diet foods rich in vitamin C helps to better absorb iron and, ultimately, allows you to increase hemoglobin levels, ”the expert noted.
With that said, some ascorbic acid-rich fruits increase hemoglobin production in the body.

Pomegranate. This is one of the best fruits for blood, as it is rich in iron, vitamins A, C and E. Ascorbic acid in pomegranate makes iron absorption more efficient.

Banana. Contains iron, folic acid, vitamin B, which is necessary for the production of red blood cells.

Apple.A good source of iron and many other nutrients needed for hemoglobin production. It is recommended to eat one or two peeled apples a day.

Plums. They also contain vitamin C and iron, which is important for increasing hemoglobin levels, as well as magnesium, which helps control transportation of oxygen in the body.

Orange. Iron cannot be fully absorbed by the body without the help of vitamin C. Oranges are rich in this vitamin.
