Urologist Mark Gadzijan said that regular walking is a simple way to increase life expectancy.

Doctor Gadzijan advised Russians to walk more to strengthen their muscles, health and increase their chances of longevity.

“Every additional thousand steps a day reduces the risk of premature death from all causes by 12 percent. When walking ten thousand steps, this figure increases to 56 percent, and when reaching the 16 thousand step mark, to 66 percent,” the doctor said on his Telegram channel.
Gadziyan added that walking reduces the risk of heart disease, reduces the levels of bad cholesterol and glucose in the blood, and improves the body's protection against diabetes. Also, the habit of walking helps control blood pressure, maintain a healthy weight, and also has an extremely positive effect on the functioning of the brain.
