Urologist-andrologist Sergei Artemenko named non-drug ways to increase testosterone levels in men.

The doctor noted in a comment to Gazeta.Ru that men are able to increase their testosterone by adjusting their lifestyle. For example, to do this, they should lose weight if they are overweight, and also increase their physical activity.

“Testosterone levels in men decrease for various reasons, in particular, due to obesity and a sedentary lifestyle. It is better to exclude high-calorie foods, that is, those with a high content of fats and easily digestible carbohydrates. You also need to increase your consumption of vegetables and fruits,” Artemenko recommended.
At the same time, the urologist urged men not to resort to excessive measures – not to subject their bodies to extreme stress, not to achieve too much weight loss. Artemenko warned that fat is necessary for the production of hormones, and with a very low percentage of fat in the body, testosterone production is likely to begin to decline.

In addition, the urologist added, severe stress can provoke an imbalance of sex hormones. To improve stress resistance, it is important to maintain a balance of work and rest, get enough sleep. According to Artemenko, regular and high-quality night sleep of at least seven to eight hours is necessary to maintain normal testosterone levels.
