One of the reasons is a fungus in the intestines: Doctor Sadykov explained the development of cravings for sweets

Gastroenterologist Rustem Sadykov explained why many people eat a lot of sweets every day, unable to control their cravings.

Doctor Sadykov confirmed: the craving for sweets can really be stronger than a person's will, and he becomes unable to deny himself its use. The specialist noted that there are 3 main reasons for such cravings.

One of the reasons is a fungus in the intestines, the gastroenterologist stated. Sadykov warned that fungi developing in the intestinal tract make people want more sugar, since it is absorbed very quickly and promotes the aggressive growth and reproduction of these parasites, which it serves as food.

The doctor clarified: with intestinal candidiasis, bloating often occurs after eating sweets.

Another common cause of addiction to sweets is nervous tension and poor stress tolerance. Sadykov reported that sweets provide many people with a calming effect and pleasant emotions. If you eat a candy every time you feel nervous, the association will become fixed, and relieving stress in this way will become a habit. Very often, such behavior (eating sweets when stressed) is a consequence of childhood trauma.

The third reason for craving sweets is insulin resistance. The hormone insulin is produced by the pancreas to deliver glucose to the body's cells, the level of which increases after eating. With resistance, the cells do not “respond” to insulin signals and are left without glucose, which simply concentrates in the blood. When hungry, they “demand” food – everything sweet, since it releases glucose into the blood faster. Such a violation may indicate metabolic syndrome, prediabetes, diabetes, the expert warned.

Sadykov advised that if you have a strong craving for sweets, you should consult a doctor and determine the primary factor of its occurrence, vpravda.ru reported.
