Oncologist Vorobyov: 3 signs when you go to the toilet indicate bowel cancer

The doctor warned that the disease may be “harder to detect” because it does not always show symptoms.

Intestinal cancer is the fourth most common type of cancer.

She warned that some symptoms will appear when going to the toilet.

These include:

  • Changes in your stool – this could be diarrhea, constipation, or softer stools
  • Experiencing more frequent bowel movements
  • Blood in your stool
  • Bleeding from your bottom.

There are some important signs of bowel cancer to look out for.

“These include finding blood in the stool, changes in bowel habits, unexplained weight loss, and abdominal pain. If you experience any of these symptoms, it's important to see your GP urgently for further evaluation.”

Most often, blood in the stool is from hemorrhoids, especially if it is bright red, fresh blood.
