Oncology Evgeny Cheremushkin: indications of tumors in the feet can be a variety of signs, from pain to deformation.

Oncologist Cheremushkin drew attention to the fact that virtually any change in the condition of the feet may be a sign of cancer. The specificity of the symptoms characteristic of this type of cancer depends on where exactly the tumor formed and what tissues were affected by the neoplasm. In the area of the feet, for example, bone sarcomas and melanomas may occur.

“Foot cancer is a rare form of oncology. Early diagnosis can be difficult. Pain syndrome, deformation or sharp pain, pathological fracture, hematoma – any symptom can be considered a symptom of the development of a tumor,” Cheremushkin said in a conversation with NEWS.ru.
The doctor noted that sometimes malignant tumors in the foot area appear on the plantar part – it can be very difficult to notice them in a timely manner. The specialist emphasized that any long-term changes should be alarming – unusual or previously unexplained symptoms that do not go away for more than a month. Cheremushkin advised to seek medical examination even if it is a persistent spot at the base of the nail or black stripes.

Earlier, the MedikForum.ru portal wrote about what eating habits greatly increase the risk of stomach cancer.
