White grains are low in fat and, unlike bread, and pasta (with the exception of whole grains), more valuable, complex carbohydrates that have little effect on blood sugar levels and keep you feeling full longer.

Vitamins and minerals are mostly hidden in a thin shell. It is removed from many types of rice, and with it valuable nutrients.
