Nutritionist Nuria Dianova: loneliness has a certain effect on people's eating habits, including influencing the development of bad addictions.

Nutritionist Dianova noted in an interview that bad eating habits are present in the lifestyle of both men and women who live alone.

“Loneliness affects the formation of bad eating habits in people, and they are different for men and women. “In the future, such a lifestyle can lead to serious illnesses,” the doctor shared with the Public News Service.
Dianova noted that single men tend to eat less frequently, but they eat more (at one time) than women. In addition, they drink a lot of coffee, and for dinner they often choose protein-fat and carbohydrate products with meat, fast food. According to the doctor, due to such a diet, single men are often susceptible to diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, gallstone disease, urolithiasis, pancreatitis, gout.

As for single women, their diet is usually more balanced, they go without breakfast much less often than men. Women are also more meticulous about monitoring their calorie intake and not overeating in the evening. At the same time, single women are much more likely than men to crave sweets, which they can eat throughout the day. They are more likely to have sugar addiction. Women are also more likely to develop eating disorders.

“As a rule, excess weight in men is deposited in the abdominal area, forming abdominal obesity. Women gain weight faster due to an excess of sweets, but due to the presence of plant foods in their diet and a less strong love for animal protein, they are less likely to develop urolithiasis, gout and pancreatitis. But gastrointestinal disorders and gallstone disease in single women may well occur,” the nutritionist warned.
Earlier, the MedikForum.ru portal wrote about what methods can be used to start eating less, psychotherapist Oleg Gladyshev spoke about this in more detail.
