Long covid: the therapist called the symptom – “productive cough”

Long covid: the therapist called the symptom -
Productive cough or wet cough is a cough that causes mucus or sputum.

“It is important to understand that everyone produces phlegm as part of the body's normal defense mechanisms. This keeps the lungs and airways clear. You may find that your breasts remain productive with phlegm after contracting Covid. “Your breathing may be more noisy than normal and you may be short of breath after a chest infection,” says GP Irina Andreeva in an interview with Medikforum.
It's important to do breathing exercises to help you get rid of phlegm effectively and efficiently, Andreeva says. However, it's important not to force clearance and make sure you give yourself enough time to rest during and after.

“If your cough continues and you did not need hospitalization while you were infected with covid, you should seek advice from your doctor. While recovering from the coronavirus, you may find that you need to clear your lungs quite often. You may have a wet cough with sputum production. You may also find that your breathing is noisier than usual, and if you have had a chest infection, you become short of breath quite easily.”
Most people will fully recover from the coronavirus. However, living with consequences can cause longer-term complications for some people, many of which are related to the lungs.
