Indeed, there are some symptoms that may be more likely to affect older people. There are a number of possible neurological symptoms that some people with long-term covid may have.

A number of other general signs and symptoms that persist over time.
This includes:

“We're still learning how long the illness lasts, and it varies from person to person. It's important to note that long-term effects are not unique to COVID-19 – other viral diseases can also have long-term effects. There is no single test for the diagnosis of protracted Covid. This condition is not yet fully understood,” says therapist Irina Andreeva in an interview with Medikforum.
The time required to recover from COVID-19 is different for everyone, but many people feel better after a few days or weeks.

The chances of having long-term symptoms do not appear to be related to how sick you were when you first got COVID-19, because “people who had mild symptoms at first may have long-term problems,” adds doctor Andreeva.
