Toxicologist Mikhail Kutushov: eating certain foods is especially effective in helping to improve liver function.

Doctor Kutyshov drew attention to the fact that a properly structured diet perfectly supports the recovery function that the human liver has. In particular, for this purpose, he advised eating cabbage.

“Cabbage helps to free the liver from toxins. If you include it in your daily diet, you will notice changes very soon: your weight will decrease, the condition of your skin, hair and nails will improve,” the expert explained.
The toxicologist also included kefir in the list of products that help restore the liver. According to Kutyshov, drinking this fermented milk drink improves metabolic processes in the body, which also has a good effect on liver function.

“The substances in kefir have a mild choleretic and diuretic effect – this helps to normalize bile metabolism,” the doctor added.
Kutushov pointed out other products that help restore the liver.

  • Chicory – helps reduce fat in the organ;
  • Celery – prevents the development of fatty liver;
  • Olive oil – helps protect the liver from oxidative stress;
  • Turmeric – stimulates bile production;
  • Berries – improve liver protection from damage.

Liver cleansing is dangerous. It is important to understand that the liver does not need preventive cleansing, various types of detox or tubage can seriously undermine the health of the organ. The consequence of such procedures can be the development of mechanical jaundice or acute biliary pancreatitis.

Earlier, the MedikForum.ru portal wrote that elevated cholesterol levels in humans can be a consequence of an unhealthy liver condition.
