Endocrinologist Oksana Mikhaleva: some products can provoke acceleration of aging mechanisms in the body.

Doctor Mikhaleva told Gazeta.Ru that several aging mechanisms can be activated in the human body under the influence of various factors. For example, a person can age faster due to oxidative stress, in which the concentration of free active radicals in the body increases, damaging cellular structures. Chronic inflammation and the formation of end glycation products, the process of glucose “sticking” to proteins, which begin to disintegrate because of this, also contribute to accelerated aging.

Mikhaleva noted that the above-mentioned aging mechanisms can be carried out in a more intensive mode due to the consumption of certain products.

“These are mainly products that are included in the diet with an abundance of fatty, fried, salty and sweet foods. This combination of salt, sugar and fat is precisely what leads to the launch of the listed aging mechanisms,” the specialist shared.
Mikhaleva also pointed out specific products that accelerate aging.

Processed foods. These primarily include industrially processed meat products in the form of sausages, hot dogs, dumplings, carbonate, etc., then fast food.

Ready-made sweets. Sweet drinks, industrial baked goods, chocolates, candies and other ready-made desserts.

Products with trans fats. The same fast food and snacks prepared in industrial deep fat, as well as almost all industrial baked goods, which are mainly prepared with margarine.

Prepared foods with saturated fats. They contain palm and coconut oils or coconut milk.

“These are the main types of foods that provoke aging and should be avoided. Try to eat more natural foods that you prepare yourself. It is best to eat food fresh if it does not require processing. You should also try to avoid frying,” the doctor postulated.
Earlier, the MedikForum.ru portal wrote about why it is harmful to eat fried nuts.
