How to choose the right children's cottage cheese: pediatrician's recommendations

dessert
There is a generous abundance of baby food on the shelves. But not all of the presented assortment can be given to a child.

Pediatrician Anna Levadnaya told how to choose the right cottage cheese for children and what you need to pay special attention to when choosing this product.

“WHO recommends introducing cottage cheese to a child from 9 months, so do not believe the age marking on industrial baby food products,” the expert says.
Prefer those curds that do not contain any fillers. According to the taste and desire of the child, you can add to the product yourself whatever you want: berries, fruits, and so on. At the same time, you will be sure of the naturalness and safety of such an additive.

Always carefully read the ingredient composition in small letters, and not what the manufacturer wrote in large letters on the front of the label. Often you can find hidden components that the child does not need at all. Most often it is sugar. Do not give products with sugar to a child under two years of age.

Sugar can also be “disguised” as “juice concentrate”. This is a marketing ploy. As a rule, in such a concentrate, in addition to sugar, there are also dyes. It is better not to give curds containing concentrated juice to a child under one year old.

It is not at all necessary to purchase children's curds. It is no different from a high-quality adult, that is, the most ordinary natural cottage cheese. Feel free to take it and introduce the child to the product.
