Cardiologist-somnologist Alena Gavrilova: a lack of vitamins or prolonged stress may be hidden behind night awakenings at the same time.

Doctor Gavrilova told Channel Five that repeated awakenings from night to night may be a sign of trouble.

“Some people find that they can wake up at the same time at night for a long time. The reason may be a habit or a health problem,” the doctor stated.
Speaking about possible health problems that provoke sleep disorders, Gavrilova specified: these may be deficiency conditions associated with a lack of vitamins and microelements, or chronic fatigue syndrome. If a person wakes up early in the morning long before the alarm clock, this may signal depression, anxiety, prolonged stress, unspoken experiences.

Also, the problem of awakenings can be associated with abnormalities in the thyroid gland, fluctuations in blood sugar levels, heart problems, hormonal changes.

Gavrilova added that in many cases, sleep disorders can be dealt with by adjusting your lifestyle. It may be enough to simply follow a sleep schedule (fall asleep and wake up at the same time), eliminate stimulating components (caffeine, alcohol) from your diet, refuse to use gadgets at late hours, avoid late meals, practice adequate physical activity or various relaxation techniques (yoga, stretching, breathing exercises). But if a person follows these recommendations, but their sleep is not restored, they need to undergo examinations and take tests.
