Gynecologist Fisyuk spoke about the existence of a hidden pregnancy that can develop unnoticed for the woman herself. The doctor noted that, being a rare occurrence in general, such a pregnancy does occur – it is impossible to deny the possibility of such cases.
The gynecologist informed that sometimes pregnant women experience discharge that can seem like menstruation. If a woman does not follow her cycle, she may not notice pregnancy, sometimes until childbirth.
“You can not guess about your pregnancy until 20 weeks, and sometimes right up to the very birth,” Victoria Fisyuk shared with Izvestia.
The specialist added that some women have features in the body, in connection with which they they may periodically lack menstruation (for example, this happens with amenorrhea, ovarian pathologies). In these cases, the onset of pregnancy may remain unidentified for a long time, and the women themselves may not be aware of their situation.
In addition, a woman may not notice pregnancy if there is significant excess weight. With a large fat layer, the baby’s movements are not felt, the expert added.
