Fatty Liver Disease: A Sign in Your Stomach You Should Report to Your Doctor

Fatty liver disease: a sign in your stomach that you should tell your doctor
Most people do not have symptoms of fatty liver disease and it does not cause them serious problems. However, there are some signs that may indicate that you should see a doctor.

British Liver Trust says swelling in the abdomen, known like ascites is something to “tell your doctor right away”.

Other signs include:

  • Yellowing of the eyes and skin – this may be harder to notice if you have black or brown skin
  • Slight bruising
  • Dark urine< /li>
  • Vomiting blood
  • Dark black, tarry stools
  • Periods of confusion, forgetfulness, mood swings, or short-sightedness (encephalopathy)
  • Itchy skin< /li>

NAFLD often causes no specific symptoms, even if the disease is at an advanced stage. You may not show any symptoms for many years. If you have NAFLD, you may have:

  • Tiredness, tiredness, or a general feeling of lethargy or lack of energy
  • Discomfort in the upper right abdomen (where the liver is located)

“Even if you don't have symptoms, if you're at risk and worried, ask your doctor for a test.”
If detected and treated early, progression can be stopped NAFLD and reduce the amount of fat in the liver.
