Endocrinologist Natalia Tananakina reported on the negative health effects of palm oil consumption.

Endocrinologist Tananakina drew attention to the fact that palm oil contains a lot of saturated fatty acids. In particular, it contains a large amount of palmitic acid, which in turn can lead to an increase in cholesterol levels. If palm oil is consumed on a regular basis in the diet, it can seriously harm the health of the cardiovascular system.

“Regular or excessive consumption of palm oil negatively affects heart health – increases the risk of developing atherosclerosis and cardiovascular diseases,” said endocrinologist Natalia Tananakina in an interview with RIAMO.
In addition, the constant intake of such oil often leads to obesity, affects the increase in blood sugar concentration.
